So yesterday I went on the hunt for the perfect interview outfit. I'm hoping to get some work experience at a very popular newspaper so I need to make sure I look the part. As you can see, I got a little carried away! (The problem with being a shopaholic!) However, I wanted to share my new pieces with you all.
From left to right: Topshop Drop Waist Pini Jumpsuit with racer-back in black £55
Zara Playsuit £29.99
River Island Black check longling jersey blazer £40
River Island Cream Blouse £22
All keeping in with the monochrome trend right now and all very flattering when on.
The jumpsuit is the perfect outfit for women who don't have time to change in between work and a night out. Pair it with a sheer blouse and matching bag and you're ready to go.I'm choosing to wear mine with black heeled boots, a black and gold belt and cream sheer blouse. There is also the added option of wearing it with a crop top underneath if you're wanting to show a bit more flesh. Both will be equally flattering and fashionable!
The Zara playsuit is a bit too out there for an interview look with its sheer top and leather-look shorts but I just couldn't resist it. Teamed with a statement necklace and your fave stilettos, you're ready for a night on the town! It's also super flattering for girls with a larger rear-end and thighs (like me) as the shorts are baggy and make your bottom half look smaller, ideal!
This jersey blazer just screams class and style. With a slight boyfriend fit its also on trend and is perfect for an interview. As the pattern on the blazer is fairly bold its best to stick to a simple top underneath and this sheer cream blouse works a treat. Pair it with a gold slinky tassel necklace (River island and Topshop have many!), high-waisted black jeans and black heeled boots and you're interview ready. This outfit says 'smart and sensible but young and stylish' which is just what you want for that big meeting!
Hope this has helped you prepare for any up-coming interview!
